Stefanie primarily focuses on corporate and economic law. She has already provided her assistance in various acquisitions and restructurings. In recent years she has developed special expertise in managing judicial reorganization proceedings and in counsel related to insolvency law in general.
Education and experience
Stefanie Baeten graduated with a Master of Laws from the University of Antwerp in 2004. She has complemented these studies with three additional study programmes: a Master of Science in Business Administration from the Lessius Hogeschool (now Thomas More) in Antwerp, an Advanced Master of Corporate Law from the University College in Brussels (HU Brussel – now Odisee University) and an official receiver/liquidator course at the Centre for Professionalisation in Law (CBR) at the University of Antwerp.
Following her studies, Stefanie started in a commercial position at Chartis Insurance (formerly AIG). From 2008 to 2009 she worked as a corporate lawyer at Allen & Overy and from 2010 to 2012 as a corporate and commercial lawyer at Marx Van Ranst Vermeersch & Partners. In 2012 Stefanie joined Astrea's Corporate Practice and made the transition to Agio in early 2014.
She became a certified Data Protection Officer after successfully completing her training at the Data Protection Institute.
